The Kingdom of the Heart

"Within every human being is a Kingdom. The heart is the ruler of this Kingdom, and the rest of the body are its subjects. If the heart rules with justice and excellence, the body will perform good actions and the Kingdom will flourish. If, however, the heart neglects its duties, the body will be in a state of disobedience to Allah ﷻ and the entire Kingdom will suffer the consequences. Allah made this Kingdom so crucial that through it the eternal and everlasting dominion of the next life is either gained or lost."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Reading
Shaykh Samer Al-Nass
We are pleased to announce the reading of Sahih al-Bukhari with Shaykh Samer Al-Nass which will be held on August 20 to 30 - SAVE THE DATE!
Sahih al-Bukhari is, after the Glorious Quran, the most authentic book ever compiled. Imam Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) is one of the greatest scholars of Hadith. His collection is one of the six canonical collections of Hadith.
Attendees will finish a complete reading of the book with Shaykh Samer Al-Nass, an internationally renowned scholar from Damascus, Syria. For those who complete this reading, they will be granted an ijaza by Sh. Samer for the blessing of being connected to the words and teachings of the Prophet ﷺ through Imam al-Bukhari. The significance of such a connection cannot be overstated.
We welcome you to join us for these blessed days in what we pray will be filled with abundant blessings as we acquire knowledge and spend time in devotion.

This weekly Majlis includes a recitation of the prophetic biography in poetry form followed by a counsel intended to connect the listener to the Prophet ﷺ and his teachings. The more we know about his life, character, and way, the more we will come to love and follow the one beloved to Allah.

إِنِّى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّذِى فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًۭا ۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ
I have turned my face towards the One Who has originated the heavens and the earth—being upright—and I am not one of the polytheists.”
[Quran 6:79]
Allah’s Love for The Prophet ﷺ

وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمْ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
But Allah would never punish them while you ˹O Prophet˺ were in their midst. Nor would He ever punish them if they prayed for forgiveness.
[Quran 8:33]

Take Some of Ramadan with You - amjad tarsin
“Consistency is the key. Consistency is the key. If we are people who are intelligent and we use our time wisely, we will be able to get the blessing in every time and in every phase of our lives. But we have to commit ourselves and dedicate ourselves to living a life of devotion.”
The most blessed month of Ramadan allows the heart and the soul to ascend closer and closer to Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala. In this khutba, Amjad Tarsin discusses the three main things, three anchors of devotion, to take from Ramadan that can be implemented throughout the year.
Amjad also relates a story that illustrates what we should want from Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, and a hadith mentioning what Allah told Prophet Dawud, alaihi as-salaam, about those who claim to love Him.
“Whoever seeks forgiveness for the believing men and women every day twenty-seven times will be among those whose prayers are answered and those by whom the people of the earth receive provision and rain.”
And put your trust in Allah, for Allah is sufficient as a Trustee of Affairs. [Quran 33:3]
