Reading of the Ibn Majah’s Collection of Hadith with Shaykh Samer Al-Nass

Please join us for reading of the Sunan of Ibn Majah with Shaykh Samer al-Nass. The program will take place from April 10-13th, from 9am to 6pm. It will consist of a complete reading of Ibn Majah’s collection of hadith, one of the Six Authentic Books of Hadith (sihah sitta). A Full Ijaza will be awarded for those attending the entire program and a partial Ijaza for those attending only part of the program.

Tibb Practitioner Training

Tibb expert, Hakim Salim Khan. Hakim Salim Khan will be teaching stage 2 of the Professional Tibb Diploma Program in Macungie, Pennsylvania from Monday, April 17th to Sunday, April 23rd. Please note that stage 1 is a pre-requisite for this course.

Introduction to Health & Wellbeing with Renowned Tibb Expert Hakim Salim Khan

Hakim Salim Khan will be teaching ‘Introduction to Health & Wellbeing’ and ‘Life Balance and Healthy Living.’ The two courses will be taught at the Diyanet Center of America in Lanham, Maryland. Part 1 – Introduction to Health & Wellbeing will be April 8-9, and Part II – Life Balance and Healthy Living will be April 10-12. Please note that Part 1 is a pre-requisite for Part II.

Positive Parenting Course

A weekend course with interactive workshop sessions for parents of children ages 0 through 15. The course will be held at the Al-Maqasid Learning Center in Macungie, Pennsylvania. The course instructor will be Ustadha Fatima D’Oyen-Waley.

The course is a 10-hour introduction to the theory and practice of positive parenting within an Islamic context, and will alternate between oral presentations and interactive workshops, with time for Q&A. Topics include:

  • Spiritual challenges of parenting
  • Islamic tarbiyyah and creating a nurturing Islamic home environment
  • Stages of child development
  • Parenting styles and their effects
  • The home learning environment
  • School choice
  • Effective communication and behavior management techniques
  • Modern parenting challenges including media use, identity and popular culture

Attendees should plan to arrive on the morning of Saturday, March 18th. Registration will commence promptly at 9:30 AM, with the first session beginning at 10:00 AM. The final session will conclude by 4 PM on Sunday, in sha Allah.
