Facilities Lead

Reports to: Founding Director/Executive Coordinator
Position Overview
The Facilities Lead ensures that Al-Maqasid’s campus, dorms, and additional properties are consistently safe, functional, maintained, and ready for use. They manage physical assets, oversee facility improvements, drive ongoing maintenance, and coordinate service vendors to keep all spaces running smoothly.
Core Responsibilities
Equipment Management
Oversee all equipment storage and management for Al-Maqasid properties.
Maintain inventory of facility-related equipment and supplies.
Improvement Oversight
Identify repair or improvement needs through routine checks.
Obtain quotes, confirm scope with leadership, coordinate repairs, oversee work, and ensure invoices are submitted to finance with clear communication.
Work with trusted vendors/contractors.
Maintenance of Campus
Ensure all campus spaces, dorms, and additional properties are consistently maintained, functional, and ready for daily use and programs.
Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify and address issues proactively.
Oversee all ongoing maintenance, recurring services, and vendor-managed work across facilities and grounds.
Manage landscaping, seasonal services, and overall property upkeep.
Maintain all building systems, utilities, and equipment according to their proper service schedules.
Ensure janitorial services complete their daily and weekly cleaning.
Oversee maintenance and upkeep across all residential properties.
Ensure organizational vehicles are properly maintained, registered, and operational.
Facilities Cost Management
Work with the finance team to track facility-related expenses and services.
Identify outdated services and cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain organized vendor records and service schedules.
Qualifications
Prior experience in facilities or property management
Experience managing vendors and coordinating services
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Clear communication and consistent follow-through
Ability to operate independently with ownership
Comfort in a mission-driven environment
