STANDARD SCIENCES CURRICULUM

Al-Maqasid Academy powered by Sanad Prep’s school of choice will be Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School (PALCS). PALCS is a state-approved public cyber charter school for students in KG – 12. In addition to the support and guidance from qualified, trained Al-Maqasid Academy Learning Coaches, the students will receive access to standards-aligned courses, taught by certified teachers through PALCS. Teachers post engaging lessons, teach live virtual lessons, and offer daily assistance as students progress through their coursework. Enrolled families may also receive, on loan, a laptop computer, access to educational online resources, physical textbooks, workbooks, and kits as needed. SACRED SCIENCES CURRICULUM

The Sacred Sciences curriculum is a multi-level curriculum that covers the foundational Islamic sciences, based primarily on the curriculum of Dar al-Mustafa, the acclaimed school in Tarim, Yemen, with additional lesson content adapted from the Al-Maqasid Seminary curriculum. Through these classes, students gain a well-rounded exposure to essential concepts in Hadith, Aqida, Fiqh, Tasawwuf, Sira, and Shama'il through study of beginner- and intermediate-level texts taught by Al-Maqasid’s very own respected teachers. 

In Qur’an classes (separated by gender), teachers tailor their instruction around student needs, with emphasis on three areas: strengthening students' tajwid and fluency; memorization; and reviewing what students may have previously memorized; while simultaneously cultivating a deep reverence and appreciation for Allah’s Book.

We are blessed to have the ongoing guidance and support of Shaykh Yahya Rhodus and other faculty members of Al-Maqasid, who continue to work directly with the Al-Maqasid Academy team to develop the Sacred Sciences curriculum.
