Position Overview:

Al-Maqasid is seeking a Donor Associate to join our Development team. This role will focus on building meaningful relationships with our donors, with a special emphasis on managing and stewarding our monthly donor program. The Donor Associate will serve as the primary point of contact for donors, engaging them through phone, email, and written communications, ensuring they feel appreciated and connected to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donor Stewardship: Build and maintain strong, personal relationships with monthly donors through timely communication, appreciation calls, and personalized follow-up.

  • Program Management: Oversee the monthly donor program, ensuring accurate records, timely processing of donations, and consistent growth of the program.

  • Communication: Respond to donor inquiries by phone and email with professionalism, warmth, and accuracy.

  • Reporting & Tracking: Maintain donor records in CRM/database, track giving history, and generate reports to inform engagement strategy.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Development team to support fundraising campaigns, special appeals, and donor events.

  • Engagement: Create opportunities for donors to deepen their connection to Al-Maqasid, including updates on impact, invitations to programs, and personalized stewardship touches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • 1–3 years of experience in donor relations, customer service, or community engagement preferred.

  • Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.

  • Comfortable speaking with donors on the phone and writing warm, professional emails.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems a plus.

  • Passion for Al-Maqasid’s mission and commitment to serving the community.
