Position Summary:

Al-Maqasid seeks a Development Lead to build and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan across monthly giving, major gifts, campaigns, and events.. This role owns the calendar, manages a personal portfolio, ensures timely acknowledgments and reporting, and partners with Operations/Finance. They will be instrumental in building the long-term success of Al-Maqasid. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan & Targets: Develop a 12–24 month fundraising plan with revenue targets by stream; maintain a development calendar with budgets, segments, channels, and timelines.

  • Monthly Giving: Drive growth and retention; oversee onboarding, upgrades, churn monitoring, and recurring-gift reconciliation.

  • Major Gifts: Manage a portfolio; conduct research, qualification, cultivation, solicitations, and stewardship; maintain clear next steps in the CRM.

  • Campaigns: Lead Ramadan and year-end appeals end-to-end (lists, landing pages, email/SMS/social, light A/B tests); deliver post-campaign reporting.

  • Stewardship & Communications: Ensure timely acknowledgments, impact updates, and periodic touchpoints across segments.

  • Data & Reporting: Maintain CRM data hygiene; produce weekly pipeline snapshots and monthly dashboards.

  • Events & Sponsorships: Plan regional cultivation events working with regional ambassadors.

  • Cross-Functional: Coordinate with Media/Marketing for creative, Programs for stories/outcomes, and Operations/Finance for accurate processing and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years in nonprofit development with direct revenue ownership (monthly giving, major gifts, and campaigns). Sales or Account management experience is also welcome.

  • Demonstrated ability to build a plan and execute it—calendar, pipeline, solicitations, and reporting.

  • Strong written and verbal communication; confident, values-aligned solicitor.

  • Technically capable of using a donor CRM and solid spreadsheet/reporting skills.

  • Organized, deadline-reliable; able to manage a portfolio and multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

  • Landing page/email tooling and simple optimization tests.

Position Summary: (In-office - Macungie, PA)

The Qur’an Hifz Teacher  is responsible for assisting students with the memorization, proper pronunciation, retention, and understanding of Qu’ran.  The Qur’an teacher will help build the Hifz program and develop the curriculum. They will work with individuals and groups from age 7 to adult in our Formal Learning programs (Madrasa, Academy, and Seminary).


Duties and responsibilities

1. TEACHING
A. Focus on Quran Hifdh and Tajweed, working with groups and individuals.
B. Prepare course long range plan, Hifdh plans and homework materials.
C. Develop and utilize proper tools and techniques to aid students in the memorization of the Qur’an.
D. Be able to adapt the Hifdh course plan to each student’s ability and potential.
E. Maintain appropriate standards of behavior, mutual respect, and safety within the classroom.
F. Evaluate each student and create teaching strategies based on the individual’s pace.
G. Track progress of each student and maintain detailed records of progress.
H. Follow a process for formal and informal ongoing assessment of students, including report cards, progress reports and marking. Feedback to be provided to students and administration.
I. Discuss students' progress and concerns with parents and administrators.

2. PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
A. Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and developing curriculum for effective teaching.
B. Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to program development, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
C. Stay current with advancements in their discipline.

3. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
A. Evaluate and track student progress in various settings through regular assessments, attendance tracking, grading, meetings, and feedback.
B. Serve as student advisor.
C. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the administrative functions of the seminary.

4. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
A. Develop a plan for professional growth and maintain a scholarly trajectory with focused program of research and publication as appropriate to their discipline.

Qualifications

  • Deep alignment with Islamic principles and the mission of Al-Maqasid.

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience (Ijaaza) in teaching Qur’an.

  • Experience teaching Quran with proper Tajweed

  • Experiencing teaching basic Islamic Studies

  • Proficiency in the Arabic Language 

  • Experience effectively managing a classroom and student behavior

  • Ability to adapt instructions based on the needs of the students

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others

Schedule and location

POSITION SUMMARY
The Al-Maqasid Arabic Instructor will be responsible for teaching the Seminary students Arabic across all years using the Al-Maqasid curriculum. This instruction encompasses teaching them grammar, morphology, rhetoric, poetry, and classical Arabic literature appropriate for their level. The Arabic Instructor may be asked to teach classes for Al-Maqasid Madrasa or Academy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching:

Position Overview:

The Head of Operations is a hands-on operator responsible for day-to-day execution across Finance & Accounting, Program Operations, Development, Facilities, HR,  IT, Legal, Office Admin, Campus Store, and Service (volunteers, etc). This role drives reliable results, establishes & ensures processes, enforces SLAs, and builds accountability. The emphasis is on running the core functions: operating a budget, moving gifts through the pipeline, keeping spaces and systems ready, and ensuring programs launch on time. They will work directly with the Founding Director to execute the organization’s vision. 

Core Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting

  • Oversee our Accounting & Finance team with support of the Board

  • Partner with the Board to establish & execute on annual budget

  • Manage vendor onboarding, contracts, and purchasing; enforce approval workflows and internal controls.

Development 

  • Oversee our Development team

  • Build & execute a diverse Development strategy

  • Maintain donor CRM data hygiene, lists, and dashboards

  • Execute campaign logistics (Ramadan, year-end, special appeals): lists, landing pages, and post-campaign reconciliation with Accounting

Facilities & Campus Operations

  • Oversee & manage Facilities team

  • Maintain & upkeep on facilities including main property, dorms, and additional real estate.

  • Support event setups and tear-downs, maintain supply inventories.

Information Technology

  • Administer Google Workspace and core apps: provision/deprovision within 24 hours; permissions governance.

  • Triage IT requests; escalate to external support as needed

Program Operations

  • Oversee the Programs team

  • Execute on diverse set of programs (annual, retreats, summer retreat, etc)

  • Coordinate Volunteer team 

Management & Cadence

  • Lead a daily/weekly ops cadence (huddles, ticket/issue review, SLA tracking).

  • Enforce SOPs and checklists; update only when needed to remove friction.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years in operations/administration (nonprofit, education, or mission-driven environment preferred).

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online), and a donor CRM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donor Stewardship: Build and maintain strong, personal relationships with monthly donors through timely communication, appreciation calls, and personalized follow-up.

  • Program Management: Oversee the monthly donor program, ensuring accurate records, timely processing of donations, and consistent growth of the program.

  • Communication: Respond to donor inquiries by phone and email with professionalism, warmth, and accuracy.

  • Reporting & Tracking: Maintain donor records in CRM/database, track giving history, and generate reports to inform engagement strategy.
