1. Does Al-Maqasid offer a Student Visa for international students? 

At this time, Al-Maqasid does not offer Student Visas. All students must already be residing in the US and move to Macungie, PA for class at the beginning of the semester.

2. Can I attend the Full-time Program online? 

Al-Maqasid Seminary does not offer online options. Students are expected to attend all classes in person and on campus. 

3. Can I attend the Full-time program partially? 

Al-Maqasid Seminary is a full time only program. Students are expected to attend classes 5 days a week, from 8:30 am- 3:30 pm. Please view the sample schedule on the Al-Maqasid Seminary tab for more information. 

4. Am I eligible for a scholarship? 

Al-Maqasid Seminary has limited scholarships available for students. Scholarships are offered on a first come, first serve basis. Students will be emailed an application once approved into the program.

5. Does Al-Maqasid Seminary offer on-site lodging? 

Currently, Al-Maqasid Seminary has very limited lodging availability for male students in an on site residence. Lodging is available on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested in lodging, please click here. Please note, tuition does not include lodging fees. 

6. Is Al Maqasid Seminary Year 2 offered online or in-person? 

All of our Seminary programs are offered in-person only. Students must be on campus for class. 

7. Do I have to take the Introduction to Arabic Reading and Writing course? 

The Introduction to Arabic Reading and Writing course is a prerequisite for students entering the Al-Maqasid Seminary. Students may, however, test out of the course by completing a placement exam. The Arabic placement exam will be provided after the Admissions Committee receives your application. Fore more information on course fees and dates, please click here 

8. Can I place directly in Year 2 of the program? 

Placement directly into Year 2 is possible, but determined on a case by case basis. Students wishing to directly place into Year 2 will need to clarify their previous Arabic study, and complete an assignment from the teaching faculty. Students may also be interviewed to deem their qualifications. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. 

9. Do you offer information sessions with questions/answers for prospective students? 

Yes. We have two live information sessions that will be offered for students interested in the Seminary. All those who register will receive an invitation. If interested, please fill out this form.

10. DO YOU OFFER A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION?

We hope that Al-Maqasid will become an accredited Seminary in the near future, at the time being, Al-Maqasid will offer an unofficial transcript stating the course details and grade, along with a certificate of completion at the end of year if successfully completed.
